Tommy Chong is "The Man" tonight at 7:30pm, on ShowTime in "a/k/a Tommy Chong". We get to see just what it's like to be the biggest 'pothead stoner dude' in America & just why the government decided he needed to be in prison because of it. Cheech joins in as they walk down memory (or lack of memory) lane. This is much more interesting than Barbara Walters talking to the he-she. That just makes me want to jump!!!......
Or...
The choice is yours.
Did you guys watch "ER" last night? Holy crap! That was just plain scary! They sent us back in time to when Dr. Greene was still breathing and he looked really good. They even made the ER look like it did back in his day. Then they did something a little bizarre. They brought back some of the original cast to make the effect look authentic. They forgot one thing. Those people got OLD!!!
Dr. Weaver steps in to remind Dr. Greene about his chemo treatment & I thought she was Priscilla Presley at first. Her face was so tight, she could barely speak. Then Jerry, the desk clerk, came through Trauma #1 with blood results & I was so happy to see that he's gained as much weight as I have these past five years. He looked older than Frank!! The icing on the cake was the appearance of Dr. Romano!!! He was truly back from the dead & LOOKED it!!! He played his pricky old self, but his true sass was gone. That copter crash must have knocked it out of him. All in all, I loved seeing my old favorites one more time, but it seemed more like "The Twilight's Zone" than a flashback. Nice try NBC.
"Sanctuary" on SciFi has been picked up for another season in 2009, with 13 new episodes. This show is so awesome in the way it uses "green-screen' technology to bring the show to life. I think this will be the way of scifi shows in the future, much like "300". Definitely a "Check It Out!" show.
The rumors are flying that NBC has axed "Lipstick Jungle" (Friday at 10pm) and "My Own Worst Enemy" (Monday at 10pm). They just haven't officially announced it. Like I said, they like to let their mistakes just fade away & hope we don't notice. I'm not surprised about "Lipstick". When they sent it to Friday's death row, I knew it was a goner, but I'm a little surprised about "Enemy". I liked this one. It was exciting and different. I have to admit though, that the last episode had me kind of confused. It was getting complicated, and I had to keep asking: "Is that Edward or is that Henry". Oh well, we still have "Heroes".
